Tithes & Offerings
Give
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” —
2 Corinthians 9:7 · KJV
Giving Is Worship
Where It Goes
Giving is not a fee for a service rendered. It is worship — the same heart
that sings and prays and hears the preaching, brought to the Lord in an offering.
We do not press anyone for money. What is given here is given to God first, and
then handled carefully before Him.
Concretely, it does two things. It keeps the work going in Inabanga: the preaching
of the Word on the Lord’s Day, the extension classes out in the barangays,
the tracts we carry when we go soulwinning, and the discipling of new believers
week by week. And it goes out past us. This church supports twenty–five
foreign missionaries and five local missionaries — thirty families and works
that a small church in Bohol helps hold up every month.
We began in 2013 with nothing and we are still a mission church of Bible Baptist
Church, Cordova, Cebu. Every peso given here was given to a work that someone else
first gave to. That is not lost on us.
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine
house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you
the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it.”
Malachi 3:10 · KJV
